Step 1: Apply Online for a Freelance Permit 

First and foremost, you must apply for a freelance permit or license to register as a freelance in the UAE. You can get the permit via GoFreelance Website. Fill out the application form and submit the required documents as follows: - 

• Resume
• Recent photographs 
• Passport & visa copy with a validity of at least 8 months 
• Bank reference letter 
• NOC from your sponsor (if required) 

If you're getting your freelance visa under an educational category, you must provide your academic certificates attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Step 2: Follow Up on the Application 

Once your application is submitted, the officials will start processing and will provide the status update of your request within 10-15 days via email. You must visit Dubai Media City, Dubai Internet City, or Dubai Knowledge Park to sign the documents and pay the required fees upon approval. After this, you will receive the freelance permit via email.
